Early departure from Entebbe/Kampala. Drive southwest through the Rift Valley escarpment (~5–6 hours). Afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi Plains - prime lion and elephant territory. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Dawn game drive to catch predators in action. After breakfast, 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel - the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, plus elephants at the water's edge and hundreds of bird species. Afternoon game drive in the Ishasha sector for the famous tree-climbing lions.
Optional morning chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge (the "Valley of Apes"). Afternoon: guided walk among the explosion crater lakes of the Bunyaruguru field - a hidden gem most tourists miss. Sundowner at the crater rim.
Final morning game drive before check-out. Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe with a stop at the equator. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

The main road is tarmac for most of the route. We use private 4×4 Land Cruisers for comfort. Expect roughly 5–6 hours of driving.
